A starry image, featuring Mars, Pleiades and a tiny smudge that is the green comet.

C/2022 E3 ZTF

This is probably one of my most memorable astrophotographs ever. This is actually the last (and most successful) out of three attempts at bagging the green comet.

I just took a tripod and phone to a Bortle 4 site, captured twelve-second exposures pointed roughly at the comet, and stacked it all after getting back home.

It was surprisingly difficult to find the comet in the image. In fact, it wasn't I, but another member of my local astronomy club who annotated the image.

Stacked with Sequator.
